Fregene: The Pearl of the Roman Littoral

Fregene is one of the best known and most popular resorts on the Roman coast and offers a very wide range of bathing establishments and dining facilities to suit all tastes. Known for its lively atmosphere, Fregene is the ideal destination for those seeking relaxation, fun and good food.

Land of Bicycles

Fregene has always been a land of bicycles, so much so that it has dedicated its Carnival to them. The resort is perfect for exploring on two wheels, offering scenic routes along the coast and through the city.

Villaggio dei Pescatori

The "Villaggio dei Pescatori" area is a structure established in the 1950s, initially consisting of simple beach huts. Over the years, it has transformed (often, unfortunately, to the sound of building abuse) into the most exclusive place in Fregene. During the summer months, the area is overcrowded, while in winter it becomes an oasis of tranquility, although the main waterfront activities remain operational year-round.

Oasis of Macchiagrande

In the southern area, near ISLA MDF, is the Macchiagrande Oasis wildlife reserve. This ecological reserve, managed by the WWF, covers an area of 280 hectares and has been part of the Litorale Romano Nature Reserve since 1996. The reserve is characterized by lush Mediterranean scrub and is home to several species of waterfowl, such as the mallard, teal and cormorant, as well as animals such as porcupines, wild rabbits and the common tortoise, the symbol of the oasis.
